What is inorganic analysis?

Inorganic analysis is the branch of chemistry that deals with identifying and measuring inorganic substances (like metals, salts, minerals, and non-metal ions) in a sample.

It can be of two types:

  • Qualitative analysis → finding out which elements or ions are present.
  • Quantitative analysis → finding out how much of each element or ion is present.

In short: Inorganic analysis is the study of inorganic compounds to know what they are and how much of them exist in a sample.
