What is the charge of a proton?

A proton carries a positive charge of +1 elementary charge.
In scientific terms, this charge is +1.602 × 10⁻¹⁹ coulombs (C).

This is equal in magnitude but opposite in sign to the charge of an electron, which has –1.602 × 10⁻¹⁹ C.

So, the proton’s charge = +1 e or +1.602 × 10⁻¹⁹ C.
